Prof. (Eng) Duncan Onyango Mbuge

Prof. (Eng) Duncan Onyango Mbuge is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Biosystems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Nairobi. He attended Egerton University and University of Nairobi for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Environmental and Biosystems Engineering. He is registered by the Kenya Engineers Registration Board as a professional engineer and is a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya. He is an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Lead Expert. He is currently conducting research on motorcycle drawn potato harvesting machinery for small scale farmers, electric and laser weeding, use of organic waste for biogas, development and promotion of solar PV systems for cooking, irrigation and lighting, optimization of evaporative cooling systems for fruit and vegetable preservation, development of hybrid solar/desiccant driers, processing and packaging of African leafy vegetables.
