Dagmawi Habte-Selassie

Country Director, Rwanda IFAD

Dagmawi Habte-Selassie serves as the Country Director for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rwanda and Burundi, overseeing investment portfolios and policy engagements in both nations. With over 15 years of experience in private finance and international development, including a decade at IFAD, he has a strong background in structuring financial solutions to address gaps in agribusiness finance ecosystems. Notably, he led IFAD’s involvement in the Yield Uganda Investment Fund, an innovative impact fund supporting agricultural SMEs in Uganda. In his current role, Dagmawi continues to drive initiatives aimed at transforming food systems, improving incomes, and enhancing nutrition in the region.
