Emmanuel Assiak
Emmanuel Assiak is a seasoned finance executive with over 30 years of experience in private equity and banking. He is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at the Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA), the impact-oriented investment platform of African Export- Import Bank (Afreximbank), which manages about $1 billion in assets. At FEDA, Emmanuel leads investment strategy and execution across Africa, overseeing the full investment lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and strategic exits. He manages a diverse portfolio across sectors including industrials, financial services, telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), healthcare, agribusiness, and consumer goods. He has a track record of identifying high-growth opportunities, structuring complex transactions, and executing value-maximizing exits. Prior to FEDA, Emmanuel was part of a team that raised and invested over $1.5 billion in capital. Throughout his career, he has partnered with executive teams to scale operations, drive innovation, and deliver sustainable growth and long-term value for both investors and portfolio companies. He holds an MBA from the University of Manchester, UK, as well as Master’s and bachelor’s degrees in economics. He is also an alumnus of London Business School and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Nigeria.
