Olusegun Adedayo Yerokun
Olusegun Adedayo Yerokun is the Interim Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA). He is a soil scientist specializing in soil fertility and applied soil chemistry. Olusegun obtained a B.S. Biology from Benedict College (South Carolina), M.S. and PhD in Crop and Soil Sciences from Michigan State University. His experience includes teaching, research and extension focused on management of soil acidity and nutrients in smallholder farms, rural development, and sustainable environment management. Olusegun actively participated in the promotion and adoption of conservation agriculture in Zambia as Programme Manager for the USAID funded Rural Business Group Development Programme under the Cooperative League of the USA (CLUSA), a National Cooperatives Business Association (NCBA) project. At RICA, he is leading the training and development of students as innovators and entrepreneurs.
